The Capiz shells are collected by local villages from beaches, carefully cleaned, and then supplied to manufacturers for use in decorative pieces. The shells come from a sea mollusc that naturally sheds its shell as it grows.
The metal frame is also sustainably sourced, made from recycled air-conditioning duct offcuts collected from building sites, giving new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded.
